I feel compelled to comment on this name... What a frightening suggestion! I can just hear the ENYA music going on in the background. "sail away, sail away, sail away..."
I'd bet a donut (with sprinkles) that A-Net already has a subtitle all lined up for GW2. They are a pretty creative group of people, don't cha know?

Guild Wars 2: boobs and violence
That way the game will get free advertisements in the news (if journalists pick up on it) because it's all controversial, and lots of people will buy it because of it.
Also it would be more tongue in cheek and the game wouldn't take itself too seriously. I somewhat disliked how the story in guildwars (factions and especially nightfall) pretends to be epic when it's clumsy and predictable at best. In fact the subtitles they decided to add are just as pretentious as well 'prophecies' ohhhh how insightfull -_-
Guildwars's stengths (besides graphics and subscription fee) are that it's accessible to new players, and it has a strong competitive element. The story and the lore is not one of them, entertaining as it may be in it's own right because of it's cheesyness. That's why they shouldn't advertise the game like a sort of 'epic' game with some sort of pseudo philosophic subtitle name. Anet shouldn't want to get ahead of themselves like that.

you guys all suck, go try to be funny somewhere else.
"lol teh developerz will nevar do itz!!!" isn't an excuse, this can just be taken as a suggestion thread (if it's good maye they will use it).
Ontopic:
I don't really know if we can name it now because all of the previous subtitles were linked to the story of their respective games (Flameseeker Prophesies, Luxon vs Kurzicks, coming of Nightfall), but at this stage something to do with dragons seems to be a good bet.

Don't like any of those options and would prefer just Guild Wars 2

I'm with this, not only is it a new age, but it has the word dragon in it, meaning people will want to buy it, and its not as bland as new age.

Keep in mind that ArenaNet only makes money when a game is purchased. A constant reminder that GW2 is a sequel has a purpose.
Gamers new to the Guild Wars world with GW2 will be more likely to buy the original GW series and vice versa.
More sales equal money to develop GW3.
Forgot my choice which is GW2: xx (depends on the storyline)

I've always had a story about Alesia. I think I'll write it as a bit of lore in the off-topic section. Prepare for the legend of Alesia, coming soon! xD

Guild Wars 2 is probably best left without a cheesy subtitle like "Rise of the Dragons" (not meant to criticize Artisan Arch, I just read that he had the same idea) or anything else related to Dragons or just another subtitle.
What do you guys think of World of Guildcraft?

If anything they should add GW2 then a subtitle like someone said because this is WHOLE different game from Guild Wars. Adding something like Guild Wars: Primordus would give the unintentional allusion that it is part of the original Guild Wars.

have a better name:
Guild Wars II: Age of Legends, or GW2: Legacy.
as players get titles that start with "Legendary" when they max it, and they leave a legacy in the form of a HoM.
but super happy fun land is good too.

I'd like:
Nerf Wars 2: Izzy's Revenge
But seriously....what's wrong with just simple Guild Wars 2? Sure it's a little bland, but it beats the pants off of 95% of the cheesy subtitles that can be attached to it.
